Most Riglow™ products are engineered with weatherproof and impact-resistant construction designed to perform reliably in the harshest real-world conditions — from tropical downpours and coastal salt air to extreme engine bay heat and off-road vibration. Every product is manufactured using materials and processes that meet our durability standards under normal use and operating conditions.
If a product is found to have a construction or material defect related to weatherproofing or durability, Riglow™ may, at its discretion, repair or replace the product with the same or an equivalent item.
Weatherproof & Moisture Resistance
Riglow™ weatherproof construction covers:
- IP-rated sealed housing that prevents moisture ingress and internal corrosion
- Gasket-sealed lens and housing joints to block water penetration
- UV-stabilized polycarbonate and ABS materials that resist yellowing, cracking, and degradation from sun exposure
- Corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy housings with protective anodized or powder-coated finishes
- Coated electrical contacts and connectors that maintain reliable connections in wet conditions
- Resistance to road splash, rain, humidity, condensation, and salt-air environments
Vibration & Impact Resistance
Unlike traditional halogen or HID bulbs, Riglow™ solid-state LED products contain no fragile filaments, glass envelopes, or moving parts. This design provides:
- Shock-resistant construction that handles rough road, pothole, and off-road conditions
- Secure press-fit and locking-tab fitment that eliminates rattling or loosening over time
- Reinforced PCB mounting to prevent circuit board flex or cracking under sustained vibration
- Durable lens coatings that resist chipping and surface abrasion from road debris
- No performance degradation from repeated mechanical shock during normal driving
Temperature Tolerance
Riglow™ products are engineered and tested to operate reliably across a wide temperature range, including:
- High-heat tropical climates and direct sun exposure on vehicle exteriors
- Engine bay and headlight housing environments with elevated ambient temperatures
- Cold-weather startup conditions without reduced output or delayed ignition
- Integrated aluminum heat sink designs that draw heat away from the LED chip
- Thermal cutoff protection on select models to prevent damage from sustained overheating
- Consistent lumen output maintained across the full operating temperature range
Durability Exclusions
The following conditions are not covered under Riglow™ durability standards:
- Damage caused by improper installation or incorrect fitment
- Physical damage from accidents, collisions, or external impact
- Water ingress resulting from modified, cracked, or improperly sealed housings
- Corrosion caused by chemical exposure, improper cleaning agents, or unauthorized modifications
- Normal wear and tear on lens coatings, finishes, or external surfaces
- Damage resulting from use outside of the product's rated operating conditions
