Porsche Vehicle Bulb Guide
Porsche Bulb References for Barbados Drivers
Original headlamp/front-fog findings checked directly against nine NISSEI/POLARG records on 22 October 2026, across four model groups. Imported-vehicle catalogue scopes are not proof of Barbados, UK, German or every right-hand-drive application. Match original market, production period, literal chassis, body and factory lighting to the actual vehicle. This is not a confirmed shopping list or Riglow LED-conversion compatibility guide.
POLARG Headlamp and Front-Fog Findings
911, literal 964, printed S49–H5 (1974–1993)
H4 low; separate high blank; H3※ fog. The printed 964/1974 start is an unresolved source chronology label, not an independently confirmed 964 production start. Preserve the literal record without silently correcting dates or extending it to all earlier 911 generations. Actual vehicle and assembly identification is essential. POLARG source-labelled 964 record.
911, 1994–1998, 993
H1 or D2S HID low; H1 high; H3※ fog. Keep printed alternatives without inferring every trim or assembly pairing. POLARG 993 record.
911, 1998–2002, 996
H7 or D2S HID low; H7 high; H3※ fog. POLARG earlier 996 record.
911, 2002–2004, 996
H7 or D2S HID low; H11 high; H3※ fog. Preserve high-beam change from H7 and overlapping year-only 2002 boundary; do not choose from registration year alone. POLARG later 996 record.
911, 2004 onward, 997, halogen specification
H7 low; H9 high (12V65W / 0-30); H8※ fog (12V35W / 0-22). Keep H9 distinct from the HID package’s H11 high. Similar H8/H9/H11 names are not blanket interchangeability evidence. POLARG 997 halogen record.
911, 2004 onward, 997, HID specification
D2S HID low; H11 high; H8※ fog (12V35W / 0-22). Preserve separate factory package; do not infer halogen-to-HID or LED-conversion compatibility. POLARG 997 HID record.
928, 1985–1995, E928
H4 low; separate high blank; H3※ fog. Preserve exact source chassis and dates rather than all earlier 928 applications. POLARG 928 record.
Cayenne, 2002 onward, 9PA
H7 or D1S HID low, D1S part alternative incomplete; H7 high; H7※ fog. Preserve printed 2002/9PA scope without expanding it to all later Cayenne generations or assigning a D2S part to D1S. POLARG Cayenne record.
Cayman, 2005 onward, 987
H7 or D2S HID low; H11 high; H11※ fog. Exact Cayman source scope does not establish Boxster, other 987 body applications or later reused model names. POLARG Cayman record.
Source Qualifications
Only original headlamp/front-fog positions were checked, not brake/tail, indicators, interior or other lamps. Keep all ※ markers unresolved and review original source notes and actual assemblies. Blank fields do not establish absent functions or equipment; H4 in a low field does not establish absent high beam or that every assembly accepts a removable conversion bulb. Ratings/parts generally print H4 12V60/55W / 0-02; H1 12V55W / 0-08; H3 12V55W / 0-13; H7 12V55W / 0-11; H11 12V55W / 0-20. D2S prints 85V35W / 3502K. D1S alternative prints 85V35W without completing its part field; do not borrow a D2S part. D1S and D2S are distinct, not interchangeable replacements.
Periods are year-only, not exact production months. Overlapping generation/revision boundaries require actual production and factory-lighting identification. Open-ended dates do not establish continued production, newer generations or unchanged equipment. Preserve the literal 964/S49 chronology anomaly and original chassis/body scopes without inventing corrections or all trim coverage. Halogen/HID alternatives do not establish interchangeable bulbs or every low/high/fog pairing. Shared designs and names alone do not establish fitment. The current index does not establish applications for unlisted Porsche model families.
Identify Your Porsche and Its Lighting
Right-hand drive alone does not confirm fitment. Check original regional specification, exact chassis, body, production period, trim and factory halogen/HID/LED package. Confirm existing bulb markings and socket against vehicle-specific documentation and clear photos. Do not assume other lamp locations share the headlamp technology.
Replacement and LED Conversion Checks
Confirm exact bulb type, connector, locating tabs, retention, voltage, dust-cap/cooling clearance and intended function before choosing a product. Original bulb findings do not establish Riglow conversion compatibility or beam performance. CANBUS labels do not guarantee freedom from warnings, flicker or electrical issues. Similar names or connectors are insufficient compatibility evidence; the exact LED maker must explicitly support the original type. Factory HID/LED equipment needs its own verified solution.
Ask Riglow for help with original market, model/chassis, production year, body, lighting package and clear photos of the bulb, markings and connector. Use the main bulb guide for qualified shopping references only after confirming the original type. No product is confirmed as Porsche fitment by this page.
