Saab Vehicle Bulb Guide
Saab Bulb References for Barbados Drivers
Original headlamp/front-fog findings checked directly against nine NISSEI/POLARG records on 22 October 2026, across four model groups. Imported-vehicle catalogue scopes are not proof of Barbados, UK, Swedish or every right-hand-drive application. Match original market, production period, literal chassis, body and factory lighting to the actual vehicle. This is not a confirmed shopping list or Riglow LED-conversion compatibility guide.
POLARG Headlamp and Front-Fog Findings
9-3, 1998–2003, DB
H4 low; separate high blank; H1※ fog. Keep this exact source scope separate from Saab 900 DB despite the shared printed code. POLARG earlier 9-3 record.
9-3, 2003 onward, FB
H7 or D2S HID low; H7 high; H3※ fog. Preserve the headlamp/fog differences and year-only 2003 overlap, not every body or later configuration. POLARG later 9-3 record.
9-5, 1997 onward, EB
H7 or D1S HID low, D1S part alternative incomplete; H7 high; H1※ or H11※ fog, both 12V55W, parts 0-08 or 0-20. Do not choose a fog branch from the model name or infer every low/high/fog pairing. Do not fill D1S part from D2S or expand EB to every later 9-5 generation. POLARG 9-5 record.
900, 1989–1993, AB
H4 low; separate high and fog blank. Source start does not establish all earlier 900 applications. POLARG earlier 900 record.
900, 1993 onward, DB
H4 low; separate high blank; H3※ fog. Preserve the exact source model/period, not a blanket cross-reference to 9-3 DB. POLARG later 900 record.
9000, 1985–1994, CB, two-lamp system
H4 low; separate high and fog blank. POLARG earlier 9000 two-lamp record.
9000, 1985–1994, CB, four-lamp system
H1 low/high; fog blank. Keep lamp-system scope distinct rather than assuming one bulb assignment for every CB. POLARG earlier 9000 four-lamp record.
9000, 1994 onward, CB, two-lamp system
H4 low; separate high and fog blank. Keep separate source period despite matching earlier two-lamp findings. POLARG later 9000 two-lamp record.
9000, 1994 onward, CB, four-lamp system
H1 low/high; fog blank. Preserve the year-only 1994 overlap and separate four-lamp record; matching headlamps do not establish all other lamps as identical. POLARG later 9000 four-lamp record.
Source Qualifications
Only original headlamp/front-fog positions were checked, not brake/tail, indicators, interior or other lamps. Keep all ※ markers unresolved and review original notes and actual assemblies. Blank fields do not establish absent functions or equipment; H4 in a low field does not establish absent high beam or that every assembly accepts a removable conversion bulb. Source ratings/parts generally print H4 12V60/55W / 0-02; H1 12V55W / 0-08; H3 12V55W / 0-13; H7 12V55W / 0-11; H11 12V55W / 0-20. D2S prints 85V35W / 3502K. D1S alternative prints 85V35W without completing its part field; do not assign a D2S part to D1S. D1S and D2S are distinct, not interchangeable replacements.
Periods are year-only, not exact production months. Overlapping 1993, 1994 and 2003 boundaries require actual production and factory-lighting identification, not registration year alone. Open-ended records do not establish continued production, newer generations or unchanged equipment. Keep source chassis, model and lamp-system scopes separate without inventing body/trim coverage. Halogen/HID and fog alternatives do not establish interchangeable bulbs or every assembly combination. Shared codes, names or related designs alone do not establish fitment. The current index does not establish applications for unlisted Saab model families.
Identify Your Saab and Its Lighting
Right-hand drive alone does not confirm fitment. Check original regional specification, exact chassis, body, production period, trim and factory halogen/HID/LED package. Confirm existing bulb markings and socket against vehicle-specific documentation and clear photos. Do not assume other lamp locations share the headlamp technology.
Replacement and LED Conversion Checks
Confirm exact bulb type, connector, locating tabs, retention, voltage, dust-cap/cooling clearance and intended function before choosing a product. Original bulb findings do not establish Riglow conversion compatibility or beam performance. CANBUS labels do not guarantee freedom from warnings, flicker or electrical issues. Similar names or connectors are insufficient compatibility evidence; the exact LED maker must explicitly support the original type. Factory HID/LED equipment needs its own verified solution.
Ask Riglow for help with original market, model/chassis, production year, body, lighting package and clear photos of the bulb, markings and connector. Use the main bulb guide for qualified shopping references only after confirming the original type. No product is confirmed as Saab fitment by this page.
