LED load resistors, listed 50W 6Ω pair

The Riglow™ load-resistor kit is listed for selected LED turn-signal conversions where additional electrical load may be required. Suitability and results depend on the exact vehicle, lamp, circuit and monitoring system. It is not a universal solution or a guarantee of eliminating hyper-flash, bulb-out warnings, CANBUS faults or OBC messages.

Confirm ratings and application

The earlier listing gives 6Ω resistance, 50W power rating and compatibility with 12V vehicle systems. These are unverified listing values. Obtain supplier documentation confirming resistance tolerance, power-rating conditions, operating limits, mounting requirements and suitability for the actual circuit. A listed 50W rating is not a verified continuous operating limit under every mounting or temperature condition.

The earlier listing describes an aluminum heat-sink housing. Material identity, heat-dissipation performance and long-term durability are unverified. Vehicle compatibility and the number of resistors required must be assessed for the exact installation; do not assume one resistor per bulb is always appropriate.

Heat warning and installation planning

Load resistors can generate significant heat during operation. Keep them away from wiring, hoses, plastic and other heat-sensitive materials. Do not mount directly to plastic. Obtain and follow the supplier's specified mounting, heat-sinking and clearance requirements; a metal surface alone does not establish adequate cooling.

Have a qualified automotive electrical installer confirm the circuit and use a verified supplier wiring diagram. The earlier generic inline-wiring instruction is not established for this product and should not be used as a connection diagram. Do not infer connections from wire colours, bypass circuit protection or add a resistor without confirming the circuit's load capacity.

Follow vehicle service procedures for isolation and testing. If there is abnormal heat, damaged wiring, a blown fuse or unresolved lighting behaviour, stop use and have the installation assessed.
